Professional Choices Publication (PDF format) EFF believes that teachers should be in charge of their profession. Regrettably, union officials have used the ability to collect forced dues to usurp rights that should remain with teachers. We have prepared a publication enabling educators to speak out about their professional rights and options. Called Professional Choices, it features commentary from over a dozen teachers. The magazine includes a mail-in card enabling educators to seek a refund from the WEA officials if they agree with their colleagues that the union is misusing its power to collect mandatory dues. Barrier to Learning Publication (PDF format) This magazine exposes the NEA’s tactics and goals and analyzes the union’s impact on teachers and students. The magazine includes quotes submitted by more than a dozen public school teachers in Washington, and covers the NEA’s rise to political power; aggressive efforts to conceal information from members; blatant disregard for teachers; controversial social agenda; and desperate pursuit of an “extreme makeover” to stem a rising tide of public disapproval.
