Attorney general's office fined over slow release of documents
from the sssociated press

Olympia - Attorney General Christine Gregoire's office has been ordered to pay $33,000 in fines and legal fees for failing to quickly release documents related to a settlement with a state teachers union...

The conservative Evergreen Freedom Foundation, which uncovered the union's campaign abuses, claimed the settlement was contrary to state campaign finance laws. The Olympia-gased policy group has sued.
